Art Centre for Children and Young People promotes art education in the fields of visual arts. Art Centre works in co-operation with variety of experts of youth work, culture, art and research.

Art Centre organises exhibitions, workshops and events, like national maker festival and art happenings for young people. Art Centre encourages people in various ways to explore and experience the world of art.

An international atmosphere can also be enjoyed in Villa Arttu for there is a unique archive of over 110 000 art works of children and young people from all over the world. The oldest artworks in the archive originate from the 1970’s.

Art Centre for Children and Young People is maintained by a foundation established in 1980 by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and the City of Hyvinkää.
